Kara's Show Ring Stats - 2009
Warner, OK 05/15/2010 - Judge Matthew Proctor/Judge Malinda Julien - Kara hits the ring and takes a 35 point Major! and a 25 point Major
05/16/2010 - Judge Pamela Simmons and Judge Jill Soble Smith - Kara takes one 35 point major and a Best of Variety. Pending UKC approval...she is a new CH at the ripe old age of 6 months 2 days!
Update : Kara is a sweet girlie. She has the most expressive eyes; always wanting to make eye contact with you; and confirming that you understand her. She is a good dog in the house and a good dog in the car; no fussing, settles quickly and is happy to do whatever you are doing. She is hesitant (somewhat) in approaching new situations (indoor only -- outside she is extremely confident), but warms up to people and places fairly quickly. We don't know if that is her nature; or a symptom of coming to us as a mature adult from a completely different environment. She is not aggressive towards other dogs, indifferent really. She is not food aggressive; either towards people or dogs; and we feed raw. All the dogs are very polite with her; she is playful on her own terms. She is a wonderful example of the Rat Terrier breed; both conformation and temperament; she makes everyone want a Rat Terrier.
Update: Kara went to her first reining show. What an awesome girlie! She slept in the gooseneck at night keeping us warm, watched the horses show without barking, was attentive to all the people that wanted to stop and pet her . . . just all in all an awesome girl.
Update: Kara has a very quirky sense of humour; and loves men. She loves to snuggle up with males and get them to pet her; even has my son Mitchell wrapped around her little paw. Now I know why Barbie referred to Kara as "The Princess".
