_Welcome to Pyxis Rat Terriers We are located in Southern Ontario Canada, just over the U.S. border, 1/2 hour from Niagara Falls, Canada. Pyxis (a latin term meaning Mariner's compass) intends to produce a quality registered Rat Terrier, who retains the ability and drive to hunt while living in the household as a family dog. We aim to produce dogs which are competitive in the agility arena and capable of attaining a recognized obedience title. Our dogs are also capable of attaining a Weight Pull title and participating in Barn Hunt. AVAILABLE - Soda has been returned to us, through no fault of her own. Her family suffered a separation and she was unable to stay with either of her people. Soda is Magi X Vinny. She turned 1 year old on March 11, 2019. She is healthy, up-to-date on shots and is a very social dog. She grew up in Toronto, so she is suited and familiar with the busy environment of the bigger metropolis. She grew up socializing in dog parks and does well with both female and male dogs, and would probably do best with dogs her size and larger, she is a very athletic girl. She is about 16" at the shoulder and 20 lbs. She has flown on a plane, travelled extensively in a car, is good in the house. She eats both kibble and raw, is good in a crate, and takes instruction and correction well. She likes both toys and treats. She is full tail and dewclaw intact and could probably do with a bit of a refresher in an obedience class. She would need to be spayed. |

Big congratulations to Pyxis Rat Terrier owner, Mary Obidinski. She took a reaaaalllllyyy long road trip from California to Florida to compete in the 2018 AKC Agility Invitational. She and her pups had a great time in their new RV on their roadtrip, and she competed with her boy Porter aka Burway Anything Goes and her girl Maple aka Pyxis Maple Leaf Wag (a Ryder X Kara daughter).
